Executive Officer and Secretary – Tim Grieger

Growing stone fruit has been a late in life choice for Tim, starting with canning peaches in 1996; and then the first planting of apricots in 2000. He has a 12 Ha fruit orchard in Renmark. Tim’s career was in local government management having been in the Chief Executive Officer role for a number of rural South Australia councils over 25 years. The last position was with the Renmark Council [as it was then] as CEO.

He is the Executive Manager for the Riverland Field Days, having been appointed to that position in 1999. Tim joined with Summer Fruit SA [formerly SA Fresh Fruit Growers Association] firstly as a Committee member and then as Executive Officer from 2004 - a part time position – and continues in that role. He grows, packs and markets apricots under his own brand and has a passion to deliver good flavoured sweet eating fruit to the consumer.
